E-LEARNING
INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN CERTIFICATE PROGRAM -

This original course of study was development
by Michael Allen, creator of Authorware and founder of Allen
Interactions, in conjunction with ASTD. The workshop helps
you develop e-learning experiences for users that are “meaningful
and memorable” and motivate learners to actually change
their behavior. This two-day class reinvents instructional
design common wisdom with fresh e-learning examples from real
clients using real budgets, focusing on making your instructional
design approach better than most who create e-learning. This
is not a tools class. The focus is on skillfully meeting instructional
design challenges in any industry.

This comprehensive three-day certificate
program addresses critical aspects of evaluation: gathering
data, the impact of individual programs, measuring learning,
and leveraging findings to increase effectiveness and provide
recommendations for change. This program focuses on developing
the skills for measuring and evaluating learning solutions
and other interventions. An overview of business impact and
ROI is also provided.
Based on ASTD’s Competency Model
for measuring and evaluating, the program covers designing
effective assessments and checking them for accuracy, validity,

RAPID INTERACTIVE
DESIGN FOR E-LEARNING CERTIFICATE PROGRAM -

If you haven’t considered using
a rapid prototyping approach in designing your e-learning
programs, you could be short-changing your learners and your
organization. Rapid prototyping is a specialized process used
to very quickly—and inexpensively—create realistic,
disposable models of interactions online, rather than through
specs and storyboards. Prototypes provide better visualization

IMPROVEMENT IN THE WORKPLACE CERTIFICATE PROGRAM -

In this foundation course in the series,
you are introduced to the world of human performance improvement
and prepared for the shift from a training mindset to a human
performance improvement mindset. This course is not about
a new way of training employees; it’s about a new approach
to improving performance, which may or may not include traditional
training methodologies.
Learn how to use the HPI process to
help your clients articulate their business goals, link these
goals to human performance, understand the current state of
performance in the organization, find the root causes for
performance deficiencies, implement solutions, and evaluate
the results. You will also glimpse at what it feels like to
do performance consulting and what it takes to manage the
change that accompanies interventions.
